Aufgrund von Globalisierungsprozessen im Sinne immer stärker vernetzter Arbeits- und Lebenswelten von Menschen. Durch Transnationalisierung und Individualisierung von Lebensverläufen steigt die kulturelle Vielfalt in unserer Gesellschaft an. In diesem Kontext gewinnt der Begriff Diversity eine Gesellschaftliche Dimension.

Gesellschaftliche Vielfalt, den respektvollen Umgang mit Verschiedenheit und die Stärkung individueller Rechte begreife ich als Kernfrage in Lifestyle und Design. Kreative Disziplinen handeln die gesellschaftlichen Konzepte von Geschlecht, Schönheitsidealen, Alter, sexueller Orientierung und die Position der Geschlechter aus und bieten uns neue Muster der Wahrnehmung und des Ausdrucks  der Persönlichkeit an.

Mit einem diversen Ansatz können wir auf Veränderungen reagieren, die heute schon einen enormen gesellschaftlichen Einfluss haben, in Zukunft noch mehr an Bedeutung gewinnen werden.

Current social and socio-cultural issues have a lasting impact on fashion. Due to globalization processes in the sense of increasingly linked working situations and living environments of people, transnationalization and individualization of life curriculums, the cultural diversity in our society increases. In this context, the term diversity takes on a social dimension.

I see social diversity, the respectful handling of diversity and the strengthening of individual rights as a key question in lifestyle and design. Creative disciplines negotiate the social concepts of gender, ideals of beauty, age, sexual orientation and the position of the sexes and offer us new patterns of perception and expression of the personality.

With a diverse approach, we can react to changes that already have an enormous social influence and will become even more important in the future.
